ATRAK (Guest and Kendall, CJEG v29 pp 78-92, 1993) is a 3D, fully-anisotropic (up to triclinic symmetry) seismic raytracer.
It is a commercial code sold and supported through
Outer Limits Seismic Software.
My work on this code is in a development, support and training role. This has
included the development of visualisation software, and additional support codes.
Models
Models in ATRAK are 2.5D (variation in X and Z, and extent only in Y). They
can include velocity gradients, horizon structure and multiple layers of
anisotropy with fully-general symmetry.
Raytracing
Raytracing in ATRAK is fully 3D. Multiple source positions,
take-off angles and azimuths can be specified, and direct-waves,
reflections and conversions.
Synthetics
Synthetic seismograms in ATRAK, are generated by interpolation of travel-time
curves and convolution with a specified wavelet. Synthetics can be 2D or
pseudo-3D.
